Edit with AI and review changes

AI editing can help turn a form name, imported document or draft outline into a useful starting form. Treat each result as an edit to review. A clear instruction describes the intended change and the wording or structure that must be preserved.

Make a focused request

The creation flow includes Edit form outline and an instruction box. Review the current outline before requesting changes. When an AI-edit action is available in the editor, use the same approach there: ask for one bounded result, then inspect it.

Good examples are “Add an optional delivery note after Equipment description” or “Make the employee email required; keep the agreement wording unchanged.” A vague request such as “Make this compliant” does not specify the fields, access controls or organizational steps needed.

Check the resulting form

1. Compare the changed questions with the requested result.
2. Check answer types, requiredness and the order of sections.
3. Inspect the signer roles and email mapping. A newly added email field does not necessarily become the workflow recipient you intended.
4. Read approved agreement or consent text in full. Do not accept an unwanted paraphrase.
5. Open Preview and complete any affected conditional path with fictional data.

For PDF imports, review both the extracted form and the placement on the document. Correct fields in an outline do not establish that all answers will appear in the right document location.

Keep private data out of editing prompts

Describe the field or task rather than pasting real patient answers, employee records or credentials. Use a synthetic example such as “Alex Example” when explaining an expected result. Review account permissions and the relevant data-handling policy before supplying source documents to any connected service.

Confirm production behavior separately

After an edit, verify the actual shared link, recipient choices and record destinations. Generated form content does not establish that email, reminders, Google sync or an entire approval chain is configured. Use the dedicated guides for those settings.
