Preview and customize

Use preview to check readability, question flow and signing behavior before sharing. Customize the presentation after the content is correct, then revisit the signer view on both a desktop and a phone.

Open the preview and theme controls

Open your form and choose Preview where the workspace exposes that tab. Use the theme/customization action for the form. The shared theme controls include Theme, Layout and Page; available options depend on the form's layout.

1. Choose a suitable theme, such as Minimal or Colorful, when those choices are available.
2. Set the supported primary/background colors and fonts. Keep instructions and required-field markers readable against the background.
3. Add your branding through the page/logo controls offered for that layout.
4. Choose Apply to save theme changes, then review the result.

Check the complete signing task

Read the title and instructions, enter sample answers and trigger relevant sections. Confirm that errors explain what needs fixing and that the signature area remains usable on a small screen. Long instructions should wrap without covering the controls.

If the form uses a PDF document layout, theme settings do not replace the document placement review. Check each answer and signer block on the document itself, including multi-page output.

Test the distributed link

Preview is useful for presentation; use the actual shared or assigned link to check access. Open it outside the editing session and confirm whether sign-in is required. A verified-signature form can ask a signer to use Google sign-in even when the owner reaches preview without another prompt.

Keep the result clear

Use a meaningful title, short field labels and a confirmation that explains the next action. If another signer must act later, avoid saying the entire request is completed after the first person's submission. Continue with sharing or the signer guide.
